JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Commercial Operations, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, CCO, will build an industry leading commercial operations function which includes sales operations/enablement and lead generation. He/She will establish clear and relevant goals and metrics across all of sales and lead generation efforts. This role will have one or more direct reports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Generation

Build lead generation strategy and ROI modeling to ensure a best in class lead generation function
Track progress against goals and recalibrate strategy and tactics as needed to meet business objectives. Partner with the product management and marketing teams to establish a customer acquisition voice and campaign approach.
Develop and execute targeted outreach and content strategies that cater specifically to client’s business prospects and directly support sales efforts and goals
Interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to opportunities and changes in the marketplace
Measure and monitor lead generation/sales funnel activity for predictable pipeline building
Collaborate with marketing on multi-channel campaign creation and execution

Sales Enablement
Work closely with marketing and product management teams to ensure effective go-to-market coordination and campaign management
Support sales on territory management and creative prospecting opportunities
Work with product management and marketing to ensure sales has access to templates, resources, and supporting materials during prospecting and each stage of the sales process
Develop/modify operational processes to ensure resources are utilized, tracked, and reported
Collaborate with CCO on sales certification process and on-going training. Incorporate best practices and leverage technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Sales Operations
Support and drive sales technology adoption across all employees, overseeing compliance and management through technology
Provide data-driven input Sales Enablementon sales structure, segmentation and coverage, business planning, investment prioritization, productivity improvement
Analyze sales processes and identify opportunities to increase efficiency by automating, minimizing and offloading low value activities
Serve as key liaison between sales, finance, IT, legal, and marketing
Provide reporting and analytics to executive leadership on sales effectiveness and opportunities for improvement
Manage and refine sales policies such as rules of engagement and lead routing

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required
10 years of experience in marketing, lead generation, business development, or sales operation. Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
Extremely detail oriented and excellent time management, decision-making, presentation, organizational and problem solving skills
Prior experience developing and leading high performing teams; effective mentor/ coaching skills
Proven ability to influence and negotiate with internal stakeholders and third party vendors to achieve objectives
Demonstrated high level of responsiveness to senior executives and key constituents in the business
Experience with systems like Hubspot, Marketo and Salesforce
Self-starter with demonstrated capability to work in fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment
Flexible and adaptive to constant change
Demonstrated creative, innovative thinker who isn’t afraid of taking educated and calculated risks
Proficient at managing multiple projects with tight and often competing deadlines
Ability to act independently with sound business judgment and emotional maturity
