CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Project Manager
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Project Manager will work on a construction team assigned to a project by the Division Manager. The Project Manager will have the primary function of managing all aspects of the project from start up to close out.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
The Project Manager should possess a bachelor s degree in Construction Science or have applicable experience in Project Management or related field. Normal physical requirements of the position include: sitting, standing, climbing, bending, lifting, keying, reaching, grasping, reading, speaking and listening.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Project Manager reports directly to the Division Manager. Normal inside contacts will include: all employees of C.F. Evans. Outside contacts will include: potential clients, existing clients, architects, and subcontractors.

+ Leads by example in effective execution / implementation of project systems / controls / processes

Task Execution/Work Quality
+ Demonstrates effective team management skills:

+ Shapes owner expectations on timely basis
+ Keeps owner informed of costs / contract status timely
+ Keeps owner abreast of change order costs / obtains change order approval on timely basis
+ Demonstrates effective schedule management skills:
+ Leads planning effort without compromising schedule
+ Identifies and maintains critical path on project
+ Manages third parties (designers, engineers, consultants, etc.) to ensure schedule
+ Seeks to minimize change orders through proper scope development early in project
+ Seeks best market value before approving change orders
+ Ensures timely flow of information occurs internally
+ Prioritizes procurement processes
+ Identifies time-saving and cost-saving means and methods
+ Ensures all project documentation / filing / follow-up is thorough, accurate, and timely
Financial and Time Management
+ Ensures accurate capture of project cost
+ Clarifies cost code / line item discrepancies between owners / architects / lenders
+ Communicates detailed and accurate cost information to financial department on regular basis to keep company abreast of cost information / forecasts
+ Ensures quality control in cost coding processes
+ Proficient at time management and leads by example in balancing priorities and accomplishing tasks
+ Maintains / communicates project task list on regular basis
+ Demonstrates ability to manage multiple jobs / tasks
Technical Skills
+ Demonstrates thorough understanding of procurement process and communicates that process to project team
+ Proficient in using all relevant technology and programs
