Restaurant General Manager/Operating Partner
Job Purpose:
JJs General Manager/Operating Partner will be first and foremost responsible for the day:to:day operations of the restaurant and the delight of our guests. He or She must provide effective, value:based leadership to entire staff, and efficiently manage direct reports. He or she must also strive to reach and achieve goals leading to the restaurants success including sales targets, cost targets, EBITDA targets, etc.
:5:10 years food service management experience.
:Hospitality or Culinary degree from an accredited 4:year college or university.
:High Volume fast casual experience a plus.
:Must understand and deliver hospitality in a profound way.
:Start:up and entrepreneurial drive a must.
:Must understand the power of building great teams.

Restaurant General Manager Job Duties:
:Ultimately responsible for every facet of the business. Including:
:Ensure a remarkable guest experience
:Maintaining high food quality standards
:Collaborate with Kitchen Manager on menu execution and culinary performance
:Be able to smoothly operate at high volume levels
:Provide leadership and reinforce JJs values
:Execute on promise of mission statement
:Nurture future leaders and build great teams
Specific duties:
Meets restaurant financial objectives by preparing strategic and annual forecasts and budgets; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; establishing and monitoring financial controls; developing and implementing strategies to increase average meal checks.
Attracts guests by developing and/or implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands, and analyzing data.
Controls purchases and inventory by meeting with account managers; negotiating prices and contracts; developing preferred supplier lists; reviewing and evaluating usage reports; analyzing variances; taking corrective actions.
Maintains operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and guest service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.
Maintains guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with preferred patrons.
When in service, responsible for maintaining standards, managing throughput and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state:of:the:art practices; participating in professional societies.
