Position Description

This position is responsible to manage a portfolio of Order routing and Market Data platforms and within Ally Invest. This individual must be able to review and evaluate the performance of Development Managers and Developers; ultimately accountable for Application platform(s), project deliverables, resource allocations, assignments, budgets, and the overall quality of the final product; works with various technology partners to define and drive strategic solutions. Job Responsibilities

* Establish and lead a high performing and self-sustaining team of technical experts and developers

* Inspire and manage employees in house and remote

* Guide team on Design/Development/Testing practices and process improvements

* Drive projects using Traditional and Agile development methodologies

* Innovate/Explore new technologies to build, grow and mature the Application platform

* Effectively communicate technical solutions and recommendations to senior level management


* Prior hands-on development experience in Java, C++, expertise in Design patterns

* Experience with Tcp/ip, multicast and multithreading technology

* Proven ability to multi-task, manage application platforms and several concurrent projects

* Experience with Development methodologies and tools, resource planning, and forecasting

* Proven experience in delivering on short industry mandated deadlines

* Experience in coordinating and working with 3rd party vendors and exchanges

* Background in brokerage technology

* BS and 10 + years of experience or equivalent

Business Unit/Enterprise Function

The Integrated Channels and Experience (ICE) team is responsible for the deployment and delivery of an end to end customer experience through our Digital and Customer Care Channels (e.g. phone, chat, email, desktop, mobile, etc.). ICE is a team of design, product management and business operations professionals who are responsible for the strategy, execution and ongoing support of Ally's consumer and dealer online and mobile channels.
