Flip Flops beach cottage is located on Bald Head Island, NC, an island community an hour south of Wilmington, NC. Accessible only by passenger ferry, Bald Head Island has always been a peaceful haven for family and friends.
Only a 3 minute walk from the beach, Flip Flops beach cottage is the perfect starting point to explore the island. Whether searching for sea shells along pristine beaches or playing golf, you will enjoy Bald Head Island. The cottage’s whimsical paintings and décor, restful porches and panoramic views will make your stay unforgettable.
Flip Flops sleeps 12 guests comfortably. The main house contains four bedrooms and baths, a fully-equipped kitchen, 2 sitting rooms with TV/VCR/DVD’s, dining room tables with seating for 16 and 4 adjoining porches. The main porch off the dining room is screened – a pleasant location for morning tea or afternoon puzzles.
The crofter (a smaller version of the main house) contains one bedroom and bath, a sitting area with TV/VCR, and an efficiency kitchen and adjoining screened porch. Below the crofter is on outdoor shower – a perfect place to wash the sand from your feet.
Outside is a gas grill, 2 golf carts (4 and 6 passenger), 10 bicycles and wonderful views of the golf course, maritime forest and the ocean. Conveniently located near the BHI golf club, a temporary membership is included in your rental (includes golf, pool, tennis and dining privileges).
The nearest beach access is only a short walk away. Miles of quiet beaches stretch in both directions – a small slice of heaven in North Carolina.
