Looking for serious musicians for original rock bandposted: November 10, 2009, 07:18 PM

I've been playing guitar for around 15 years or so and I've written many songs. I'm looking for other musicians to play with. Mostly I need drums and bass, but I could also use a good other guitarist (some lead, some rhythm), vocalist, keyboardist, purcusionist, or what have you. I'm mostly influenced by classic rock (Hendrix, Zeppelin, early Clapton), Grunge (Soundgarden, I Mother Earth, Smashing Pumpkins), and jam bands (Pink Floyd, Widespread Panic, Phish). You can hear some of my music at www.garageband.com/artist/kingkongcomplex. If you're interested and you're serious about playing out, let me know!

GUITAR PLAYERS does learning theory scare you? Play in 7 modes-NOW!posted: November 10, 2009, 01:37 PM

This method allows you to play the modes by simply using ONLY ONE fingering pattern that you may already know. I will tell you how to place it- counting a few frets up or down the neck and going across all six strings. I have been using this method for over twenty years now. It is fool-proof and always works. For electric or acoustic guitar and bass. I developed this method and registered the copyright on it in 1986; it is 100% original.
Play in: DORIAN PHRYGIAN AEOLIAN IONIAN LYDIAN MIXOLYDIAN & LOCRIAN modes-in any key! You don’t need to know ANY theory at all as this is a bypass around music theory. This will open the door for your advancement in a very big way. Only $10.00; FREE shipping. E-mail me for the first two paragraphs of the method. I can prove that it’s not a scam. http://www.modesmethod.mysite.com/cgi-bin/blog From Modes Method users: It arrived to my home Saturday. I just tried recording a minute of varied grooves over a B minor chord. I played the Dorian and Aeolian modes over that. I like this!….Thanks a lot, --Charles Thanks--Interesting concept.--Bill I really appreciate your explanations. Very clear. Thanks so much for your instruction. Steve • Location: Charlotte

Fender 800Pro bass amp/Eden 212XLTposted: November 8, 2009, 08:31 PM

Asking $600 for bass amp, and $500 for cabinet, willing to come down on price if bought at the same time. Both were played out a bit, but never really at full capacity, the amp has a few small nicks, just cosmetic. The amp is the solid state version, not the tube preamp one Fender is currently selling. I think the cabinet may have been discontinued by Eden. Love the setup, but need some extra money now that I'm back in school.

I am a singer/songwriter with a love for blues/rock/soul/pop and more so a mix of all of these. I love Everything from Sam Cooke to John Mayer.
I moved to the area recently and I am starting over searching for a new music family. I am looking for a percussionist drummer/conga/etc. Also a bass player, another vocalist or two, lead guitar, and possibly keyboards. I have played some big venues and plenty of small venues but mainly I just love playing and I would like to see myself back on the stage again soon with a group of great musicians. Come and try out, jam, or at least meet and see what we can come up with. Interested? Email John at woodysing4me@yahoo.com • Location: Charlotte
